Individual
Differences,
Experiences &
Adaptation
Lab

What We Do
We study how early-life experience impacts development. We are interested in how each person changes, adapts, and responds to their environment and their individual experiences. While some of these experiences may be harmful (e.g., abuse, neglect, violence), others may be enriching and facilitate growth (e.g., relationships with parents and
friends). We use multiple quantitative
methods and examine development at
different levels of analysis, from the development of the brain to cognition and mental health.
